If you're planning to compete in a Fit Model category, choosing the right bikini is just as important as your training. While many competitors assume any stage bikini will do, Fit Model has its own look and expectations, with simplicity, elegance and balance taking priority over sparkle and extravagant designs.

Whether you're competing in NPC Fit Model, PCA Fit Model, or another federation with similar guidelines, this guide explains everything you need to know before ordering your competition bikini.

What Is a Fit Model Bikini?

Unlike traditional bikini bodybuilding categories that often feature heavily embellished rhinestone bikinis, Fit Model competitors wear a simple two-piece stage suit designed to showcase the physique without distraction.

A Fit Model bikini typically features:

• A rounded front on the bikini bottoms (rather than a deep V-front)

• Plain fabric with no rhinestones

• No rhinestone connectors

• A simple triangle or moulded triangle bikini cup

Fit Model Bikini Bottoms

One of the biggest differences between a Fit Model bikini and a traditional bodybuilding bikini is the shape of the bottoms.

However just becasue there are guidelines doesnt mean you cant customise your suit. we have 2 popular fit model designs:

Adjustable Sliders (Style 1)

Perfect for athletes who prefer a more delicate look, our adjustable slider design features slim shoulder and side straps with discreet metal sliders, allowing you to fine-tune the fit of your bikini. The adjustable straps make it easy to achieve your ideal fit for comfort, support and confidence on stage, while maintaining the clean, elegant aesthetic expected in the Fit Model category.

All Fabric  (Style 2)

This classic design features slightly thicker fabric side straps, creating a clean, elegant look that perfectly suits the Fit Model category. The straps sit higher on the hips to help accentuate a balanced V-taper and create the illusion of a smaller waist, while maintaining the simple, sophisticated appearance expected on the Fit Model stage.

Whichever style you choose, every Dream Bikini Fit Model suit is handmade to your measurements, features a rounded front, and is designed without rhinestones or decorative connectors, helping you step on stage with confidence while staying true to the elegant look of the category.

Taking Additional Measurements

As standard, we use your height to create a proportional crotch length, using hundreds of measurements collected from athletes over the years to ensure your bikini flatters your physique and creates the best possible stage presentation. For the vast majority of competitors, this provides an excellent fit.

However, if you have a personal preference - such as a higher or lower rise, additional front coverage, or a specific fit - you are welcome to submit a few extra measurements.

You can provide your crotch length by pulling a tape measure firmly from the top of the bikini rise at the front, through the legs, to just above the top of the glute crease at the back.

Your widest glute measurement helps us ensure the bikini sits smoothly across the glutes without pulling or wrinkling.

Finally, if you prefer more or less front coverage, you can measure the gusset width of a bikini or swimsuit that you already find comfortable, allowing us to tailor the fit to your preference while maintaining a flattering silhouette.
