How to Measure for the Perfect Competition Bikini Fit

A competition bikini should feel like it was made just for you because it is. Every Dream Bikini is handmade to your measurements, so taking a few minutes to measure properly helps us create a bikini that fits beautifully on stage.

Our bikinis are designed with adjustable features and we've made thousands of custom suits over the years, so we can use your measurements alongside our experience to create the best possible fit.

1. Under Bust (Bra Band)

Measure directly underneath your bust where your bra band would normally sit. Pull the tape measure snug, but not so tight that it digs into your skin.

This measurement helps us calculate your cup size and proportions.

Don't worry too much if it's a few milimeters out. Every Dream Bikini has an adjustable back strap, so there's plenty of flexibility to fine-tune the fit once you're wearing it.

2. Bust Measurement

Measure around the fullest part of your bust while wearing a non-padded bra or no bra if that's more comfortable.

Keep the tape measure level all the way around without pulling it too tightly.

Combined with your under bust measurement, this allows us to determine the correct cup size and create a top that looks balanced and flattering on your physique.

3. Crotch Length

This is one of the most important measurements for a truly custom fit.

Measure from just above your butt crease, through your legs and up to the front where you'd like the bikini to sit. Pull the tape measure fairly tightly, as this gives the most accurate result.

Your crotch length determines the front rise of your bikini, helping it sit comfortably without excess fabric or feeling too tight.

If you don't provide this measurement, we'll make your bikini proportional to your height using data from hundreds of competition bikinis we've designed over the years.

4. Widest Glute Measurement

Measure around the fullest part of your glutes, keeping the tape measure level all the way around.

This helps us create bottoms that sit securely and comfortably without digging in or feeling loose.

Combined with your chosen coverage, this measurement allows us to make sure your bikini hugs your physique perfectly while showing off your shape in the most flattering way.

A Few Extra Tips

• Wear underwear or a bikini that already fits you well.

• Stand naturally and don't flex while measuring.

• Use a soft tape measure.

• Pull the tape measure snug rather than leaving it loose.
